About the role

  • Maze is a user research platform that helps companies build the right products faster by making user insights available at the speed of product development. Its platform enables researchers, designers, and product managers to recruit participants, run studies autonomously, and surface insights that inform product decisions. AI capabilities automate busywork and add depth and direction to insights.
  • Maze was named the #1 user research platform in UX Tools’ Design Tools Survey. Customers include Uber, Amazon, Atlassian, and Anthropic, across industries including B2B SaaS, e-commerce, financial services, retail, and automotive.
  • Maze is a Series B company backed by Felicis, Emergence, and Amplify, with a global remote workforce and fewer than 150 team members.
  • Maze reports usage by 100,000+ brands across 4,000 companies, from SMBs to enterprises. In its last fiscal year, 6.5 million questions were answered, supporting 25,000 decisions.
  • Maze is launching a Market Research service combining its platform’s scale and speed with expert-led research services to create an AI-native alternative to traditional market research agencies.
  • As the founding commercial leader for this new business, you will work closely with senior leaders, report to the COO, and partner with the Head of Market Research, the expert practitioner delivering the service.
  • You will own go-to-market strategy end to end, partnering with Product, Sales, and Marketing to design, build, and run the GTM motion, engage new buyers and existing customers, close deals, and establish Maze’s market research presence.
  • This is an opportunity to build a new business and help define how AI reshapes market research. The role suits a builder with deep industry roots, commercial ownership experience, and established buyer relationships.
  • The role title advertises Remote US/EU; the structured applicant location requirements list the United Kingdom and United States.

Responsibilities

  • Define and co-own the Market Research service’s go-to-market strategy, including positioning, packaging, pricing, and target segments.
  • Partner with the Head of Market Research to shape the offering around insights buyers’ needs and the possibilities of an AI-native approach.
  • Establish metrics, forecasts, and an operating cadence for the new business, iterating quickly based on market feedback.

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing on enablement, playbooks, joint account planning, and outbound plays.
  • Activate your market research network to connect with insights leaders and research buyers.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including scoping, proposals, pricing, negotiation, and closing, involving the Head of Market Research as the practitioner voice.
  • Work with Marketing to build Maze’s voice and presence through content, events, communities, and thought leadership.
  • Represent Maze at industry events and in discussions about how AI is changing research.
  • Turn early customer wins into stories, references, and repeatable demand.
  • Connect Sales, Marketing, Research, and Product, feeding market needs into the service and platform roadmap.
  • Use AI in your daily workflow to do more with less and model this approach for the team.
  • Help shape the team and playbook as the service scales.
