GTM Engineer

Sent, Inc. New York City, United States$140k–$200kPosted 4d ago

About the role

Sent provides infrastructure for sending A2P messages across SMS, WhatsApp, and RCS through a unified API. Its intelligent routing model automates channel selection based on deliverability and cost, enabling lower costs and global reach without channel-specific integrations. The company recently closed a $12M Series A backed by Companyon Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, UIF, and others, and is building infrastructure to replace multi-channel messaging stacks.

As GTM Engineer, you will design and build the systems powering Sent's go-to-market motion. Working across sales, marketing, and customer success, you will turn manual, repetitive work into automated workflows and own the GTM stack end to end: purchasing, building, integrations, and the information the team uses to execute.

This is a high-ownership, early-stage role for someone with experience in RevOps, go-to-market, or engineering who has shipped real automations. You will build the operational backbone of a fast-growing company with significant autonomy and little red tape.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain automated GTM workflows across prospecting, enrichment, lead routing, outbound sequencing, and marketing-to-sales handoffs.
  • Own the GTM technology stack, including CRM, enrichment, outbound, and marketing automation tools, integrations, administration, and vendor evaluation.
  • Prototype and ship internal tools, scripts, and AI-powered workflows that give AEs and SDRs more time to sell.
  • Design and document GTM processes, including lead lifecycle stages, deal stage definitions, and renewal and expansion workflows.
  • Maintain trustworthy CRM data, accurate pipeline information, and dashboards that give leadership visibility into pipeline, conversion, and attribution.
  • Partner with the VP of Sales and VP of Marketing to identify funnel bottlenecks and address them through process or tooling changes.
  • Build playbooks, training documentation, and access workflows to onboard new GTM hires quickly.
  • Run ad hoc projects, including territory and compensation modeling, TAM/SAM sizing, and competitive research.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in revenue operations, GTM engineering, sales operations, or a similar technical GTM role, ideally at a startup.
  • An always-on mindset: be reachable outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends, when systems break or a deal is time-sensitive. GTM systems and customers operate around the clock, and you will be responsible for keeping those systems running.
  • A builder mentality: default to automation, have shipped workflows or tools people use, and prefer building a fix to filing a ticket.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Attio, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar, and GTM tooling for enrichment, sequencing, and marketing automation.
  • Experience with workflow and automation tools such as Clay, n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar, plus comfort with APIs, webhooks, and light scripting.
  • Systems thinking, with the ability to understand the full lead funnel and identify where it breaks.
  • Clear written communication and the ability to document processes others can follow independently.
  • High agency: identify and flag problems, ideally fixing them before being asked.
  • Based in New York City.

Requirements — Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience building AI- or LLM-powered GTM workflows, such as agents for prospect research, lead scoring, or outbound personalization.
  • Proficiency in Python or JavaScript and comfort building lightweight internal tools or API integrations.
  • Experience with usage-based or product-led SaaS models, including usage signals, expansion triggers, and PLG-to-sales handoffs.
  • Familiarity with SQL or BI tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Experience selling to or supporting developers, or genuine interest in APIs, developer tools, or messaging/CPaaS.

Benefits

  • Meaningful equity with high growth potential.
  • Compensation flexibility depending on experience.
  • Fully covered, top-tier medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with a 100% match up to 4%.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • NYC workspace with daily meals and unlimited snacks.
  • New MacBook Pro and Apple Studio Display.
  • Wellhub Gold or Equinox stipend.
