GTM Engineer – Revenue Systems

Warp New York, United States$125k–$180kPosted 4d ago

About the role

  • Warp is an AI-native Employee Management Platform for ambitious companies, combining HRIS, payroll, benefits, IT, tax compliance, and more on a platform built from scratch with AI as the primary operator.
  • Warp serves high-growth companies across all 50 US states and globally. It has raised $85M from Battery Ventures, Sapphire Ventures, Peak XV, Sound Ventures, and Y Combinator, alongside operators including Tobi Lütke, Claire Hughes Johnson, and the founders of Dropbox and Replit. The team comes from MIT, Ramp, Brex, Google, Gusto, Rippling, and more.
  • Warp hires people who ship constantly, own outcomes, and care about craft, with the goal of automating an entire category of work that every company depends on.
  • As Warp's first GTM Engineer, you will build the operational layer supporting the entire revenue motion and own how the GTM stack is designed, connected, and scaled, from Salesforce architecture to automation and AI layers.
  • This is a high-impact individual contributor role pioneering the GTM Engineering function, working directly with tenured GTM leaders who provide context and independence in deciding how to build.
  • The role blends software operations principles, Salesforce development, and systems design. You will treat the GTM stack as a product to engineer, maintain, and improve over time.
  • Warp is based in New York City, and most of its team works together in-office five days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Build the revenue systems operational layer, from Salesforce architecture to automation and AI layers.
  • Design and build Salesforce objects, flows, validation rules, reports, and dashboards supporting GTM teams across the company.
  • Serve as the primary Salesforce builder for Sales, Tech Partnerships, CX, Finance, and other teams, translating process needs into technical solutions.
  • Partner with GTM leaders and frontline teams to understand existing revenue workflows and their failure points, then redesign and automate them using better systems design and AI tools such as ergo, cedar, sumble, Gumloop, Clay, and Claude.
  • Build agents that run parts of the revenue motion, rather than just automating individual steps.
  • Build systems for commissions and incentive calculations so payouts are accurate and questions can be resolved without manual investigation.
  • Build validation, governance, and data structures the rest of the GTM stack can rely on.
  • Connect Salesforce to adjacent systems through APIs, webhooks, and automation layers. Own the GTM tooling on top of Salesforce, adding and integrating systems as the stack evolves.
  • Build reporting and forecasting infrastructure for GTM planning, with clean and trustworthy pipeline and revenue data by design.
  • Document what you build and enable the organization to trust and extend it without routing everything through you.
  • Design scalable systems rather than one-off fixes as the organization grows from 30 sellers to more than 100.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in Revenue Operations, GTM Engineering, or Sales Ops at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Hands-on Salesforce experience building within the platform, not just configuring it, including Flow, custom objects, validation rules, reports, and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with GTM tools including Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Apollo, Chili Piper, and Sales Navigator.
  • A track record of building processes and systems from scratch in a fast-growth environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly around data quality and its impact on customers and the company.
  • Comfort working autonomously and making decisions with limited oversight.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, keep projects moving, and translate messy data into clear insights.
  • Nice to have: hands-on ability with APIs, webhooks, and cross-system workflow design.
  • Nice to have: experience building in Clay or with AI automation tools such as ergo, cedar, sumble, Gumloop, and Claude.
  • Nice to have: ability to build and solve problems with Python, JavaScript, SQL, SOQL, or TypeScript.
  • Nice to have: experience with business intelligence tools and SQL.
  • Nice to have: experience building and maintaining pipeline and forecast reporting for GTM leaders.
  • Nice to have: Salesforce Administrator or Developer certification.

Benefits

  • 100% health coverage through comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your dependents.
  • 401(k) matching from day one.
  • Uncapped flexible PTO, with trust to take time to recharge while balancing responsibilities and team commitments.
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits for travel to the NYC office.
  • Daily catered lunch.
  • Quarterly team offsites; past locations include Spain, the Catskills, and San Francisco.
