GTM Engineering
Full-time
GTM Engineer
Rippling New York, NY; San Francisco, CA$146k–$244kPosted 6d ago
About the role
- Rippling brings HR, IT, and Finance together in one system, enabling businesses to manage and automate the employee lifecycle across payroll, expenses, benefits, computers, and more. Based in San Francisco, Rippling has raised over $1.4 billion from investors including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock, and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.
- Build and scale the growth engine for Rippling IT. This is not a traditional marketing role: it combines buyer understanding, technical depth, analytical rigor, and GTM creativity to develop repeatable growth strategies across paid channels, cross-sell, SDR outreach, lifecycle marketing, and product launches.
- As employees increasingly use AI tools and unreviewed OAuth grants, Shadow AI creates risks that legacy, separate identity, MDM, ticketing, and compliance tools cannot keep up with. Rippling IT unifies identity, devices, and compliance on a single data graph, allowing policy to be set once and enforced everywhere for every employee and agent.
- Rippling IT is one of the company's most strategic and fastest-growing business lines, with an ambitious set of launches planned for the coming months.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, RevOps, BizOps, Product, and the IT GM to diagnose growth bottlenecks, build systems or plays to address them, and scale those motions through existing teams. Prioritize sharply, influence across functions, and turn analysis into shipped GTM initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep, ongoing understanding of the IT buyer through customer conversations, sales calls, win/loss analysis, product usage, competitive research, and funnel data. Use those insights to continuously reshape GTM strategy.
- Own high-leverage growth programs from problem diagnosis and buyer insight through testing, measurement, and scaled rollout.
- Turn validated buyer and product insights into coordinated growth plays across acquisition, cross-sell, SDR, lifecycle, field, partner, and product launch channels.
- Build AI-native, technically sophisticated GTM workflows across prospecting, audience building, enrichment, personalization, experimentation, routing, and campaign automation.
- Identify funnel and pipeline bottlenecks and partner with RevOps, BizOps, GTM engineering, marketing, and sales to remove them.
- Partner with cross-sell marketing to convert HR and Finance customers into IT customers.
- Partner with product marketing and demand generation on launches for an ambitious roadmap of IT products.
- Move between strategy and execution: build models, write briefs, inspect data, pressure-test messaging, and push work across the finish line.
- Create repeatable systems, playbooks, and experiments that make the central IT GTM team more effective and can scale 10x across many areas.
Requirements
- Experience in growth, GTM engineering, growth marketing, BizOps, RevOps, or another technical growth role at a high-growth B2B company. Demonstrated range and impact matter more than exact title.
- Strong technical fluency and comfort using data, AI, automation, and modern GTM tooling to build scalable systems, not just dashboards or recommendations.
- A track record of identifying growth opportunities, prioritizing effectively, shipping experiments or programs, and scaling successful approaches across teams.
- Excellent analytical judgment and the ability to investigate deeply without getting trapped in analysis or local optimization.
- Strong cross-functional influence and the ability to get work done through people you do not directly manage across sales, marketing, operations, product, and leadership.
- High clock speed, low ego, and a bias toward action in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
- A clear, demonstrated point of view on AI in GTM, grounded in daily use that changes how growth work gets done.
- For office-based employees living within a defined radius of a Rippling office, working in-office at least three days per week is an essential function under current policy.
