GTM Engineer

Pogo Technologies, Inc. RemotePosted 3d ago

About the role

  • As Pogo's first GTM Engineer, partner with Growth, Sales, Design, and Engineering to build AI-powered systems that compound revenue.
  • Work on Pogo's enterprise AI SaaS product as both a builder and an operator, shipping code that drives pipeline and conversion.
  • This is a remote role for applicants in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Ship AI-powered workflows that scale growth and sales motions into a competitive advantage.
  • Audit the existing GTM stack, identify gaps and redundancies, and quickly ship improvements.
  • Embed with Sales and Growth to turn their best plays into systems the whole organization can use.
  • Build internal tools and agents that replace manual workflows, including lead routing, enrichment, outbound personalization, account research, content distribution, and attribution.
  • Decide when to use off-the-shelf tools and when to build custom solutions.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design to test new features, provide feedback, and use Pogo's own AI capabilities for GTM use cases.
  • Publish playbooks and internal guides so successful approaches spread across the team.

Requirements

  • Likely 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience, with some experience applied directly to GTM, growth, or revenue systems.
  • Heavy use of AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, with substantial projects shipped using them.
  • Experience building with LLMs and AI agents, including RAG, evaluations, tool use, and prompt engineering.
  • Hands-on familiarity with the modern GTM stack, such as Clay, HubSpot or Salesforce, Apollo, Cargo, Gong, and Outreach or Instantly, plus fluency with APIs, webhooks, and integrations.
  • Strong product and design judgment, with internal tools built to feel as polished as the product.
  • Systems thinking and an interest in turning messy operational problems into clean, automated workflows.
  • Commercial instinct and the ability to identify opportunities from sales calls or growth dashboards.
  • Clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders, especially in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience building and maintaining production systems used by real users, including internal users.
  • Bonus: Experience at early-stage startups or building your own products.
  • Bonus: Experience shipping AI agents that improved an actual revenue metric, beyond demos.
  • Bonus: A background in RevOps, Marketing Ops, or Sales Engineering before moving fully into building.

Working environment

  • Priorities can shift quickly, and problems are often ambiguous. Pogo makes calculated bets, experiments, and pivots based on data and user feedback.
  • The company values "Calculated Speed": iterating and shipping weekly rather than spending months on complex processes or lengthy builds. At times, you may need to build something in a day, and something designed today may ship the following week.
  • Structured management is not yet in place. The role requires someone energized by independently running with work rather than receiving direction at every step.
  • Pogo expects more than a 9-to-5 schedule and states that raw hours matter at its current stage, while trusting team members to arrange flexible schedules around productivity and outside priorities.

Benefits

  • Build systems that receive real usage and affect pipeline, conversion, and retention.
  • Work at the center of the company alongside Growth, Sales, Design, and Engineering.
  • Use the latest coding tools, LLMs, and GTM platforms.
  • Ship weekly and receive rapid feedback from the teams using your work.
  • Shape the GTM Engineering function as Pogo scales.
  • Flexible work scheduling.
  • Unlimited PTO with a minimum 20-day vacation policy and encouragement to take time off to recharge.
