Full-time
Director, GTM Enablement
Basis AI New York, United States$150k–$250kPosted Today
About the role
- Basis builds agents that perform end-to-end work for some of the largest accounting firms in the world, operating for hours at a time. The company recently raised $100M at a valuation above $1B and is deploying advanced applied machine learning at production scale.
- Investors include Khosla Ventures (Keith Rabois and Vinod Khosla), Accel (Miles Clements), Google Ventures, Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross, Adam D'Angelo, Jeff Dean, Jack Altman, Noam Brown, Kyle Vogt, Amjad Masad, Clem Delangue, and other operators and technical leaders.
- OpenAI Applied AI Lead Prashant Mital describes Basis as being on the frontier of production-grade, long-horizon agents, pushing model capabilities on complex accounting tasks and helping shape the future of agents.
- Own how every Basis seller ramps, sells, and improves. Enablement is the system that translates a fast-changing product and a technical buyer into consistent execution across AE, BDR, channel, and customer-facing teams—not simply a training calendar.
- Set the strategy and own the enablement function, including ramp standards, methodology, coaching cadence, content systems, and measurement tied to revenue.
- Report to the Head of GTM AI Ops, work directly with sales leadership, and build the enablement team as the company scales.
- Work in person at the NYC Flatiron office five days per week.
Responsibilities
- Set the enablement strategy: Define excellence at each ramp stage across firm, in-house, CAS, tax, and audit motions. Sequence work against revenue goals.
- Own the ramp system: Define the standards managers use to assess whether a new rep is ready, progressing, or in trouble at days 30, 60, and 90. Make onboarding a structured program rather than a week of shadowing.
- Build the coaching layer: Equip frontline managers with call standards, deal review structures, scorecards, and a shared language for effective execution.
- Codify the playbook: Turn top reps' discovery, demos, and objection handling into documented, teachable motions, and keep them current as the product evolves.
- Own tooling and content: Choose and operate the enablement platform, content library, and conversation intelligence systems. Use agents and AI workflows where they make reps faster, and measure their effectiveness.
- Prove impact: Tie enablement to ramp time, win rates, and rep productivity. Fund what works and cut what does not.
- Build the team: Hire and lead enablement managers and program builders as coverage expands across segments and products.
- Deliver faster ramp: New reps meet readiness standards on the timeline you establish, and managers trust those assessments.
- Establish one playbook: Reps consistently use the discovery and demo motions you develop because they work.
- Enable managers to coach: Frontline leaders use your coaching cadences instead of relying on ad hoc feedback.
- Make impact visible: Leadership can see enablement's effect on win rates and productivity beyond the number of sessions delivered.
