GTM Engineer (Sales)

Alloy.ai Denver, Colorado, United States$95k–$125kPosted 7d ago

About the role

  • Alloy.ai is the Commerce Intelligence System for consumer brands, unifying data from more than 500 sources, including ERPs, retailers, ecommerce platforms, and distributors. Its proprietary commerce logic and AI agents translate fragmented data into demand signals and execution-ready actions. Customers include Liquid I.V., Crayola, and Valvoline.
  • Alloy.ai is a fast-growing, well-funded startup with an expanding global presence and a team drawn from successful startups, leading technology companies, and Fortune 100 enterprises. Its values include individual ownership, iteration toward excellence, focus, open and respectful communication, and mutual support.
  • The company encourages applicants of all backgrounds and is committed to an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity.
  • Build and run an automated prospecting engine that generates pipeline through high-volume outreach, fast and qualified inbound responses, and signal-based outbound campaigns targeting consumer brands at the right moment.
  • Own the underlying data and systems, using signals and AI to create a go-to-market system that learns and improves over time.
  • This is a builder role at an AI-first company: build from the ground up, test ideas quickly, ship working systems, and be measured on the pipeline they generate.

Responsibilities

  • Inbound automation: Automate qualification and first responses for Contact Us inquiries, demo requests, and partner leads, with human handoffs for good fits.
  • Route every inbound lead to the appropriate owner with an enriched, researched brief.
  • Instrument speed-to-lead and establish the SLA used to measure it.
  • Outbound automation: Run signal-based email and other outreach campaigns end-to-end, including list building, enrichment, messaging, and sequencing.
  • Own deliverability, including domains, warmup, suppression lists, and send limits.
  • A/B test messaging and report results by segment.
  • Sales enablement: Deliver daily prioritized call lists for each AE and SDR, including whom to call, why now, direct-dial details, and a talk track.
  • Route engaged campaign replies to SDRs for follow-up.
  • Capture call activity, including dials, connects, and meetings, to make phone performance visible.
  • Systems: Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce, HubSpot, enrichment tools, and sequencing tools.
  • Own the fields, objects, and routing rules that automations read and write.
  • Instrument output, including source attribution for automation-sourced opportunities and response times.

Requirements

  • An engineering, data, or quantitative background and curiosity about how companies find and win customers. Prior GTM automation experience is not required; candidates should learn new domains quickly and ship without waiting for detailed specifications.
  • A technical foundation in computer science, engineering, data, or a quantitative discipline through a degree or equivalent work, plus 1–5 years of experience.
  • At least one year writing product code, most comfortably in Python or TypeScript. Ability to independently build third-party API integrations that handle authentication, pagination, rate limits, and retries.
  • Fluency with agent harnesses such as Claude Code, Antigravity, or Codex.
  • Experience automating someone else's workflow and the ability to describe the before-and-after results.
  • Evidence of self-directed building through side projects, automations, or tools created without being assigned.
  • Commercial curiosity about why buyers buy and what makes outreach effective, beyond an interest in technology alone.
  • Ability to explain technical work clearly to Sales and Marketing, and comfort being measured on pipeline.
  • Nice to have: Exposure to Salesforce, HubSpot, Clay, Apollo, or similar tools.
  • Nice to have: Experience in sales, SDR, growth, or marketing operations roles.
  • Nice to have: Interest in CPG, retail, or supply chain.
  • Nice to have: Startup experience.

Hiring process

  • Alloy.ai may use AI tools to support application reviews, resume analysis, response assessments, and identification of potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
  • These tools assist the recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Humans make final hiring decisions.
  • Candidates may contact the company for more information about how their data is processed.
